SUMMARY
Five years have passed since Delaney Reid walked
in and out of their lives. Now Taylor, Zac, and Bailey, those
who were most affected by Laney's presence in their lives,
are forced to move on and live life past the destruction that
Delaney caused in all of their hearts. Taylor runs away from
his mistakes and leaves his family behind. Zac finds someone
to fill the place in his heart that Laney had ripped wide
open and lets his brother go, refusing forgiveness. Bailey
buries herself in her work and refuses to let her heart face
another devestating loss. Forced to take part in family traditions,
Taylor returns to Tulsa, a changed man, and both Zac and Bailey
doubt their ability to stay angry with him. But when Delaney
Reid resurfaces and tests every one's sanity once more, can
they comfortably exist with each other or have the mistakes
of the past ruined their futures forever?

EXCERPT
Delaney Reid had been the last person he'd expected
to see coming out of the elementary school. He'd come in search
of Noelle but when he saw Delaney standing no more than ten
feet in front of him, he lost his breath and his mind was
wiped blank. She was still as beautiful as he'd remembered
her, if not even prettier. She seemed taller, stronger, more
confident. Her hair was longer and lighter and her skin was
dark, despite it being the middle of November. And as she
pushed her sunglasses off of her face and looked at him with
those eyes, Zac remembered everything. Every kiss, every fuck,
every word, every deception. The look on her face before she'd
walked out of the bus as if she'd known all along that it
would have ended that way. |
